Footloose; musical preview

Hannah Russell ‘19, Reporter

This year’s spring musical is Footloose. Footloose is about Ren McCormack, a high schooler who moves from Chicago to a small Midwestern town where dancing and rock music is illegal. With the help of his new friend Willard Hewitt and defiant Ariel Moore, he’s going to attempt to loosen up the conservative town. But the only thing standing in his way is Ariel’s influential father, Reverend Shaw Moore. Footloose has had two movie adaptations, one in 1984 and the other in 2011. Dates for the show are March 21, 23, 24, at 7 p.m.
