Wrestling is one of our most excelling sports; this year was one of the team’s most successful runs. The boys entered the season underestimated since a lot of good players graduated last year so the team was under the radar. They started off the season upsetting a lot of teams; defeating a lot of good competition.

The 2018-2019 wrestling team took the title of KLAA East Division Champions and KLAA Conference runner-up. They were also MHSAA District and Regional Champions that advanced to the semifinals earning the team the rank of fourth in Division One.

Along with an amazing season head coach Bill Polk was named the MHSAA Regional Coach of the Year with assistant coach Shamir Garcia named the MHSAA Regional Assistant Coach of the Year.
