Sports Impact Lunch-In

On Jan. 30, the winter sports athletes took a trip to Westland City Hall to have lunch with former athletes where they had rather important conversations.

The Glenn athletes spent about an hour and a half at city hall, talking to the retired athletes about making an impact. Basketball player Lauryn Hardy said, “At the lunch-in, we had previous players come in and talk to us about their experiences and making a change. They also reminded us that if we ever feel like we need help or are overwhelmed, we can talk to professionals and get help.”

The main reason for the “Impact Lunch-in” was to remind the young athletes to “make a positive impact in what you’re doing, no matter if it’s sports or just life in general.”
